Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san Launched His New Manga

Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san manga intrigued many and also produced quite a lot of laughter over the counter as it provided a relatable, hilarious look at retail life. The book is scarily accurate, though, and it made it to the readers’ to-read list pretty quickly. The work also had an anime adaptation for television which premiered in October 2018, and it looks like Honda is returning with an interesting piece of work yet again.

Manga creator Honda has launched a new work, titled Yameru Hoshi Yori Ai o Komete in the February issue of Mystery Bonita (Akita Shoten) on Monday.

The Japanese title is a pun on the story of Russia with love, from the James Bond franchise. The manga will be focused on Yakumo, a police officer who suffers trauma and who one day encounters a spongy being, who heals him just by being close to him. The first chapter has 54 pages, with an initial coloured page.

People who have worked as a bookseller were deeply empathized by Honda’s work and those who did not were also impressed by seeing the hardships faced by a customer service representative. Therefore we can expect that the upcoming manga will also offer a must-read experience to the manga lovers.
