An ambitious girl struggling with her new life in a big city and a boy who is calm and cool-headed become high school classmates. As they begin to know each other and become friends, where will their relationship end with their differing approaches to a happy future?
On Saturday, the official website for the Skip and Loafer anime series released a second trailer and a new key visual. The video reveals the theme song artists and the exact release date. It will debut on April 4, and Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide.
The trailer almost completely focuses on the two main characters Mitsumi Iwakura and Sōsuke Shima. The former can be seen going through multiple emotions, which include a determination to succeed and confusion in figuring out her new life.
Keina Suda performs the opening song “Mellow” which is also featured in the video. The ending song “Hanauta to Mawari Michi”(Humming and Detour) is performed by Rikako Aida.

Kotomi Deai is directing and writing Skip and Loafer, with P.A. Works as the animating studio for the series. Manami Umeshita is designing the characters for the anime. Takatsugu Wakabayashi is the music composer.
Although high-school romance with opposite personalities is not a unique theme, the added element of a countryside student getting familiar with a new city and a determination to make it big makes it worth some curiosity.
About Skip and Loafer
Skip and Loafer is a manga by Misaki Takamatsu that was launched in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine in August 2018. An anime adaptation is set to premiere in April 2023.
The manga focuses on Mitsumi who is from a backward area in Japan and moves to Tokyo for attending high school. Sosuke is an ikemen and he meets Mitsumi on her first day at the new school. Mitsumi is focused on her career, unaware of what the big city has in store for her.
Sosuke becomes quite fond of her and they become friends. It is a cute high school-based series with light-hearted comedy.
