The ongoing pandemic has made us rely on the entertainment industry to keep us occupied and most of us have turned to TV series and anime for comfort.
However, due to safety and health concerns, upcoming anime episodes and series are getting canceled or delayed.
The official site of Skate Leading Stars announced on 25th May that the premiere of the original anime series will be postponed till further notice.
The anime was supposed to debut sometime in July 2020 but had to be postponed due to the Coronavirus threat.

The anime is based on the sport, figure skating and the term ‘figure skating’ excites every anime fan because of the popular anime YURI!!! on ICE.
Although this anime might be nothing like it’s predecessor, fans will still anticipate a similar outcome. Skate Leading Stars seems like an approach inside the lives of high school students who participate in competitive figure skating. It follows the growth of the protagonist, Maeshima, as he overcomes his fears and strives to aim for the top.
The anime is produced by J. C. Staff studio. It is directed by Gorō Taniguchi (One Piece: Defeat The Pirate Ganzack) and Toshinori Fukushima(Beyblade G Revolution). It is written by Noboru Kimura and Yana Toboso (Black Butler manga) is the character designer.
The opening theme song of the anime, “Chase the Core” by Takao Sakuma, was supposed to be released on 15th July but has been postponed as well.
J. C. Staff announced the release of a manga adaptation of the original anime “Skate Leading Stars.” The story is by Chiaki Nagaoka(Touken Ranbu Online) and is drawn by Sumika Sumio.

Skate Leading Stars is an original anime that showcases the figure skating world. The story revolves around the protagonist Kensei Maeshima who left figure skating after his rival, Reo Shinozaki, declares Maeshima incapable of beating him.
Maeshima joins high school a few years later, but he seems detached from any club activities as he lives with the hollow that leaving skating had created. But incidentally, he is dragged back into the world of competitive figure skating. What new experiences and people will Maeshima encounter?
