SK8 the Infinity is a skateboarding anime which is supposed to premiere in early 2021. It is about an underground skateboard competition where our protagonist gets involved.
This underground competition is not a kid’s game and has serious repercussions.
The official website of SK8 the Infinity has announced that the anime will be broadcast on 9th January 2021. It will air on the ANiMAZiNG frame of Asahi TV. AI! Studio Bones is animating the project. A new visual for the anime has also been released.
The visual shows the main protagonists of the anime, Reki and Langa. Both of them are seen skateboarding with wild abandon even though Langa is new to the world of skateboarding.
Some of the other participants from the “S” competition are shown as well.
A new promotional video for the upcoming anime is also revealed.
The PV shows all the different kinds of people who have come to participate in “S.” The participants are from different walks of life and have different skateboarding styles.
Langa is also shown as an amateur. Reki, our protagonist, aims for the top spot at “S.”

About SK8 the Infinity
The brand new “SK8 the Infinity” original anime comes with an all-star team featuring Hiroko Utsumi as the director, Ichiro Ohkouchi (Series Composition/Screenplay), Michinori Chiba (Character Design), and Animation Production by Bones! Skateboard.
The anime focuses on a second-year high schooler, Reki, who loves skateboarding. He gets mixed up in “S,” a dangerous no-rules underground skateboard race at an abandoned mine.
Ranga, another character in the series, returns to Japan from Canada and has never skateboarded before. He also gets wrapped up in S with Reki.
The plot follows dirty racers, AI racers, and other intriguing individuals to compete in the “youth skateboard race battle.”
SK8 the Infinity is being licensed by Aniplex of America and is slated to begin its broadcast in January 2021.
