SK8 The Infinity is the first anime series to have the sport of skateboarding as its main concept.
Its storyline not only uses a unique theme but even the setting of the story stands out from the crowd as it focuses on a shady underground “youth skateboard race battle”.
Aniplex of America has announced through its official Twitter account that a brand new, original anime”SK8 the Infinity” will be created by an all-star team.
The announcement was followed by a short promotional video that reveals the upcoming series’ outstanding crew and describes the original anime’s central concept.
The one minute video begins with a young male character as he takes his skateboard and skates through a neighborhood while an upbeat blend of a new age and electronic music plays in the background.
The clip also shows the other characters in the series and close-ups of the skateboard as its user performs stunts with it.
Towards the end of the video, we are introduced to the anime series’s central concept, which is that of a “Youth Skateboard Race Battle.”
The last few seconds show an intense showdown between the characters during one such skateboard battle.
SK8 the Infinity is being licensed by Aniplex of America and is slated to begin its broadcast in January 2021.

About SK8 The Infinity
The brand new “SK8 the Infinity”original anime comes with an all-star team featuring Hiroko Utsumi as the director, Ichiro Ohkouchi (Series Composition/Screenplay), Michinori Chiba (Character Design), and Animation Production by Bones! Skateboard.
The anime focuses on a second-year high schooler, Reki, who loves skateboarding. He gets mixed up in “S,” a dangerous no-rules underground skateboard race at an abandoned mine.
Ranga, another character in the series, returns to Japan from Canada and has never skateboarded before. He also gets wrapped up in S with Reki.
The plot follows dirty racers, AI racers, and other intriguing individuals to compete in the “youth skateboard race battle.”
SK8 the Infinity is being licensed by Aniplex of America and is slated to begin its broadcast in January 2021.
