The Mountain Pass to the Githyanki Creche is home to Lady Esther, an NPC who wants you to steal a Githyanki Egg from nearby Creche Y’llek under the Rosymorn Monastery to give it to the Society of Brilliance. You’ll be faced with a choice after getting the Egg back to her – should you give it to her or keep it with you?
Giving Lady Esther the Githyanki Egg will reward players with 258 Gold, making it the correct option to choose in Baldur’s Gate 3. This is undoubtedly better than keeping the Egg as players can receive the rewards as well as fight Lady Esther after the transaction.
After giving the Egg to her, you can kill her and loot her best wares for your troubles.
1. How to get the Githyanki Egg for Lady Esther in Baldur’s Gate 3?
The Githyanki Egg is located in Creche Yllek inside the Creche Hatchery in Baldur’s Gate 3. To retrieve the egg for Lady Esther, you’ll need to talk or fight your way through the Creche Guards and convince Varsh Ko’kuu to either hand the egg over or to die for it.
To start this quest, head to the Rosymorn Monastery (coordinates: X: 18 Y: 22). You’ll be able to find Lady Esther here. Interact with her to begin the Egg retrieving quest.
2. What happens if you don’t give the Githyanki Egg to Lady Esther in Baldur’s Gate 3?
If players plan on keeping the Githyanki Egg, Lady Esther tries to kill them without giving a reward in Baldur’s Gate 3. A boss fight ensues as a result of not giving the Egg to her. Be warned that this may be a tough boss fight as she turns invisible multiple times.
There are alternative answers to this question. Instead of giving the original Githyanki Egg to Lady Esther, you can give her an Owlbear Egg. However, this won’t prove to be very fruitful for you since the Owlbear Egg goes for 750 Gold at vendors.
