The COVID pandemic has greatly affected the Japanese animation industry. It led to multiple projects announcing their delays due to its effect on production. Everything came to a halt, and projects were left unfinished.
Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Rondo Rondo Rondo was initially slated to be released on May 29, 2020, but the production team announced had a delay on the official website.
The official site of Revue Starlight announced a postponement of the movie and CD release of the anime in early May.
The Revue Starlight official YouTube channel has released a new trailer for the Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Rondo Rondo Rondo anime film.
The new trailer confirms that the film will release in Japan in 2021 post its COVID delay.

Karen enrolls in the Seisho Music Academy to continue working toward their promise. This academy trains students in acting, dancing, and singing.
But a mysterious underground competition is held, and a talking giraffe hosts it. Both Hikari and Ajio get involved. They perform together to outdo the other participants and to reach the top star title.
