Episode 2 of Shoot! Goal to the Future showed the match between Nomada High and Kakegawa High. It was clear that Tsuji and his teammates tried their best to score against Nomada, but observing their players, they were incredible with their moves.
As Kokubo entered the match, he was delighted to play with his best friend. Seeing Tsuji’s moves, he was surprised because they were very weak.

Episode 3 Speculation
Episode 3 of Shoot! Goal to the Future is titled “The Ones Who Leave”. In the upcoming episode, coach Kamiya will teach Tsuji and other teammates how to play and improve their gameplay.

Episode 2 Recap
The episode began with Kokubo hugging Tsuji and expressing how much he missed him, which surprised Tsuji. In Kokubo’s opinion, Tsuji didn’t give up playing soccer and he was happy to see him on the field again. Then he introduced Tsuji to his teammates, saying they used to play soccer together.
It surprised everyone on Tsuji’s team to see Kokubo because he was an excellent player and was offered the chance to play youth soccer in England. Kokubo described Tsuji as a genius, especially if he was allowed to shoot.
It’s for that reason he calls him Shoot instead of Hideto. After that, he began to thank him for helping him achieve success because of Tsuji.
To Kokubo, Tsuji hadn’t quit playing soccer and was there to restore Kakegawa’s reputation on the field. Kokubo was then told by Tsuji that he had stopped playing soccer long ago and was no longer interested in it.
Kokubo’s team coach was surprised to see that not only Kamiya is Kakegawa’s coach but there was a player on that team who impressed Kokubo. Thereafter, Nomada and Kakegawa teams were declared to play each other.
Tsuji then shouted that he wouldn’t be playing for them since he already stopped playing long ago. Among his teammates, Korukawa requested he plays at least this match. Additionally, Kamiya said that he will not play soccer since he is a useless loser who hates the sport.
Then Kokubo said he should not hold back, as he was on the other team, and this triggered Tsuji to play only in this match.
Soon, the match began. There was great coordination between Kakegawa’s players and they were playing really well together. After receiving the ball, Tsuji started running for the goal but he had a flashback of him kicking the ball into the net and missing the goal, the same thing happened again.
Tsuji used to be a strong duo, and Kokubo was disappointed to see him playing poorly. His moves were easily predictable.
The coach of Nomada’s High was disappointed as well, but Kokubo defended him by saying that it was just a The situation continued for a while until Tsuji realized that their rivals were forcing them into a certain pattern.
It didn’t take them long to realize Nomada had control over them the entire time. The coach of Nomada then gestured that they should change their pattern and go right at them and score.
