Shoot! Goal to the Future, a sequel to Tsukasa Ooshima’s Shoot! franchise is back with a brand new protagonist, but the vintage vibes remain the same.
Hideo Tsuji will serve as the pessimistic main character who will receive the equally cold Atsushi Kamiya as his coach. The duo needs to find common ground soon to win the upcoming tournaments.
The Shoot! Goal to the Future anime will be released in July 2022. The franchise is returning with a new installment after 28 years. A new trailer has been revealed to show the dynamics between Tsuji and Kamiya.
The new teaser shows the transformation of Kakegawa High School’s soccer club into the strongest team. In the very beginning, Kubo’s ball-handling skills are shown as he takes on the opponent team in a match.
When Kamiya later sees Tsuji play, he is reminded of Kubo. Tsuji’s cold attitude is reflected when he says that soccer is just a matter of whether a shot is missed or not.
Cast members behind the main characters have been revealed:

Can the upcoming sequel of Shoot! Make a name for itself? I hope Tsuji proves himself to be capable of Kubo’s title.
