The fight between Orwell and Ms. Menou was speculative, and Momo could be seen as an important asset to Ms. Menou. In addition, Momo’s execution of the dragon and throwing it against the castle barrier was very impressive.

Towards the end of episode 6, Menou was seen to have killed Akari, and she was stunned as always. We will learn about the backstory in the upcoming episode and hope that it will live up to the hype they create.

In Ms. Menou’s presence, Akari was seen to be crying because of the nightmare she had. It is likely that episode 7 will have more action. It will be interesting to see how it unfolds.

Episode 6 Recap

The past week has me on the edge of the seat.

Regardless of the art or character designs, I find myself liking the characters I didn’t think I could like more and more with each new episode. I expected Momo, in particular, to be annoying, but the show proved good enough to show that she isn’t just a cute girl.

The fact that Akari directly confirmed so many things is quite interesting. Truthfully, I thought she was a little too heavy-handed with her explanation of the train. Nonetheless, her sudden exposition of massive powers created at least as many questions as it answered.

The fact that she can create time loops and repetitions by her very character is not at all surprising. However, seeing how the whole scenario is about her trying to get to the good end…

Poor Momo, though. The reason she is the way she is is not just due to how she got used, but also due to what must have happened for her to become that way. It’s going to be grim to learn more about her backstory.

I could die from joy later when she finally gets her ribbons back. Wow, I’ve completely changed my mind about this girl. She’s honest and the world is really a messed up tissue of lies, and I wish her happiness.

Jojo’s character, the Princess, is in the wrong series, and I love that.

It’s true, I laughed when MenouFlare stole her stick and the archbishop said, “Waaagh*” in a strange, sad manner.

The Archbishop being Last Crusaded followed immediately by “I’ll always be your best friend” sure made me cry.

The biggest emotional gut punch of the whole thing wasn’t even accompanied by music. Menou: “I earned such trust from my future self by deceiving Akari so well.”. Menou: “Oh my god, Menou, why. I have no idea.”

Last but not least, the end. Also, flare. And I’m still speechless? I have never been more invested in a show. As my yuri romance is morphing into a friendship, I’m starting to feel a bit annoyed. I guess that’s how things go sometimes.

The Executioner and Her Way of Life by Maho Sato and Nilitsu is a light novel series that will receive an anime adaptation in 2022.

The plot focuses on Menou, an executioner who is in charge of killing all those who get isekai’d into her world. These people are called ‘strays’ of ‘lost ones’ and are often responsible for huge calamities.

Thus, when Akari arrived, Menou was tasked with killing her. The only problem is that Akari’s ability makes her almost impossible to kill. As both of them spend time together, a new relationship blossoms between them.
