Episode 5 Recap
Suzaku reflects on his recollections of Kishinmaru. The students are astonished when Kominami sensei informs them of the impending exam, which is considered exceedingly risky because students face injuries or sometimes even die.
Kidou expresses his desire for Suzaku to head the Koga village since he possesses all the necessary traits for a chief. After Ittoki leaves the team, Ryoko forces him to adopt the disguising mask, one of Saiga village’s top-notch ninja weapons.
Kousetsu informs him that she would attack Suzaku first to defend Ittoki.
Ittoki goes for a walk and runs into the school’s principal, who teaches him ninja principles and how the world is all black and white while offering him some tea. He mentions that Ittoki’s father’s principle was also to not kill, just like him.
Kousetsu instructed Ittoki in preparation for the impending test and helped him practice sneak attacks. Suzaku and his team had stolen Kousetsu’s blueprint indicating the hideout’s location, which turns out to be a trap set for them. A few Koga people get caught after following the blueprint.
One of the two newcomers to the gang, Kousetsu discovered, was providing information to the Koga. Ittoki altered his appearance by using the mask Ryoko handed him. He attempts to launch a surprise attack on the user of the same tool, who eventually turns out to be Suzaku.
Suzaku attacks Ittoki to kill him because he detests the Iga clan.
Just as the exam was about to end, Ittoki tricked Suzaku into a trap and instantly destroyed his ninja core. Shione realized Kishinmaru’s body was being used in experiments when she arrived at a Koga facility that was only accessible to her.
