Izumi is your everyday guy who considers himself lucky to have a cute girlfriend. Yet, it wouldn’t have been an anime if the love story was so simple. In Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie anime, Izumi’s girlfriend has a hidden side.
Shikimori’s inner personality is at complete odds with what she looks like. She will act like a tsundere mafia at the most unexpected times, and Izumi has come to appreciate these incidents.
You can catch the unusual nature of this cute girl in the Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie anime which will be released on April 9, 2022. Crunchyroll will also stream the series. A new trailer has been revealed for the anime.
The teaser shows Izumi happily running towards Shikimori when a car passes by too close. Shikimori instantly changes and pulls in her boyfriend.
She takes on her “protective tsundere” character and says, “Don’t make me work so damn hard,” with a flushed face.
This split-personality disorder is extremely adorable to Izumi, and he awaits these moments when Shikimori acts cool.
Studio Doga Kobo is in charge of the animation, and the staff members have also been revealed:
Position | Staff | Other Works |
Director | Ryota Itoh | My Senpai is Annoying |
Series Script | Yoshimi Narita | HappinessCharge PreCure! |
Character Design | Ai Kikuchi | How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? |
A sweet and spicy story is about to unfold between these two lovebirds. Izumi’s blushing face, coupled with Shikimori’s cool personality, will be a treat to watch this April.
