She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wiseman gave an interesting introduction to the series. I liked how the characters interacted with online players in the game, which was a nice twist for the show’s beginning.
The One-Man Army mage is now missing, but someone else has appeared in the game. What will the player feel as he finds out the change in character? What will the other mages and Solomon do after discovering the new character?
We will see how the new character came into the game in the next episode. The young girl will try to convince others that she is an elder mage and is Dunbalf himself.

Episode 1 Recap
This episode starts with an introduction to the online game Ark Earth Online. This online game is different from other games, for there were no instructions to reach a higher level or master level.
As the game grew online, many players honed their skills to build their own nations.
It was unfortunate for mages due to unrivaled foes. Even so, mages found salvation in a kingdom ruled by Solomon – the Kingdom of Alcait. Nine Elder mages vowed to master nine different types of magic in the domain.
Solomon only trusted one mage the most, Dunbalf the One-Man Army. Afterward, Solomon summoned Dunbalf and told him to defend the nation from an attack of monsters. Later, the two are seen chilling and talking about the online gaming experience.
Solomon then jokes about Dunbalf’s character, but the player states he’s made the best wizard based on a series they watched once. The two later plan their strategy on tackling the attack and think if there’s a new magic force discovered.
Afterward, Dunbalf goes to the battlefield where the monsters are gathered and asks them to stand down. Reading the situation, Dunbalf brings his army with his magic and starts fighting. His minion finds the boss of the monsters and leads him to it.
Dunbalf uses his skills and defeats the boss. He then summons his dragon and takes out all the monsters, finishing the quest. Everything was going smoothly in the game until Dunbalf disappeared one day.
Everyone thought it was the beginning of the vanishing of the elders, and a great crisis was waiting in the kingdom. Sometime later, a young girl is seen in the middle of a field. She wakes up, tries to figure out what’s happening, and finds things odd.
Later she finds her way to the Alcait Kingdom and enjoys her time there. Looking at her reflection, she oddly finds herself cute.

She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wiseman is a light novel authored by Hirotsugu Ryusen. It began serialization in April 2012. Its manga adaptation was launched in July 2016.
Kagami Sakimori is a pro player at a game called Arch Earth Online. His character is that of a wise bearded wizard, but one day he decides to change his character design to that of a girl. The next day he wakes up in the world of the game, and Arch Earth Online suddenly gets too realistic for Kagami.
