She-Hulk: Attorney at Law E3 Ending Explained: Who’s “The Boss”?

The MCU comedy-legal drama She-Hulk: Attorney at Law returned on Disney+ this Thursday with Episode 3, featuring two new cameos. The Sorcerer Supreme and Master of the Mystic Arts Wong debuted his role in Episode 3 of the MCU series, and even megastar Megan Thee Stallion cameoed in this week’s episode!

Episode 3 opened with Jennifer Walters confronting Emil Blonsky, her client, about his prison break to fight a sorcerer.

Blonsky revealed that though he was forced to leave his prison to fight, he chose to return to his cell and serve the remainder of his sentence. When Walters probed him about the identity of the person who freed him unwillingly from jail, Blonsky called out Wong.

As we know already, Wong was named Sorcerer Supreme in the absence of Stephen Strange, who had blipped after Thanos’ snap in Avengers: Infinity War.

After Nicole contacts Wong for Walters, Wong visits her and explains that he had indeed forced Blonsky to escape the prison, turn into The Abomination, and fight him. Why?

Wong discloses to Walters that he needed “a worthy opponent” to fight against “as a part of his training to become the Sorcerer Supreme.” Walters asks him to testify the same at Blonsky’s parole hearing, and Wong obliges.

While dealing with her duties as a lawyer, Jen has the public’s absurd theories questioning her skills as an attorney and proposing the idea that she is where she is due to her identity as She-Hulk.

The show’s episode even highlighted the very real debates people have had on social media about the lack of “male heroes” and She-Hulk “robbing Hulk of his manhood.”

Meanwhile, Holliway asks her to represent her former DA office colleague Dennis Bukowski who was defrauded by an Asgardian shapeshifter by posing as Megan Thee Stallion and robbed of nearly $200k. She-Hulk denies the job, and Bukowski urges Pug, another lawyer at GLK & H’s Superhuman Law Division, to take his case.

Pug then deals with Bukowski, almost fooled by Runa, the Asgardian shapeshifter, when she poses as Dennis revoking his case. Pug tries to make his case, but the court can’t believe someone would be naive and foolish enough to believe the real Megan Thee Stallion had been conversing with him.

Jennifer brings forth a row of witnesses to highlight Emil’s reformation in prison and how he has control over himself as The Abomination, reducing any possibility of a rampage by the monster again to negligible.

Punctuated by Blonsky’s decision to return to prison, testified by Wong, the jury rules to go forward with Blonsky’s release under the condition that he wears an inhibitor at all times and does not turn into The Abomination again.

Before Walters can celebrate her victory, She-Hulk protesters spoil her mood by vandalizing her car with the sentence, “Monster defending a monster.” Pug has also lost sight of how to win Bukowski’s trial, and when Jen states Bukowski is a pathologically entitled man, Pug asks her to testify that in court.

After Jen’s testimony, Pug wins Bukowski’s case, and Jen returns home only to be attacked by a group of men with Asgardian construction tools. Jen momentarily panics, then realizes she can turn into She-Hulk and tosses them aside. One of the men tries to stick a syringe in her to draw blood, but her Hulk skin damages the needle. They run off after saying, “The Boss is going to be mad.”

Jen is left to ponder if being She-Hulk is really worth it and if she gets the chance of getting rid of these powers should she take it. The end credits feature a comical scene with She-Hulk twerking with Megan Thee Stallion and confessing that she would kill for the singer.

Episode 3 definitely captured the essence of the comedy and legal genre in the MCU series, but the episode’s ending has now suggested an upcoming threat.

Episode 3’s ending teases a new villain, someone paying thugs to steal a sample of She-Hulk’s blood, to create another Hulk possibly. Is Titania the one behind this scheme, or a new villain has emerged from the shadows threatening Jennifer’s life as She-Hulk as well as the public’s safety?

More about this anonymous boss will unfold in the upcoming episodes, releasing every Thursday on Disney+.
