2. Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 Episode 13 Recap
Episode 13 of Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 began with Akane rushing toward the battle along with Emul and Ceecrus while mentioning the possibility that Sunraku is the man that she’s looking for, and she even called him her senpai. Meanwhile, Rei and Sunraku were still fighting the Lycagon, who seemed to be really focused on attacking Rei and wouldn’t even be distracted by any of Sunraku’s attacks. Lycagon then used its clone ability and ambushed Rei, but Akane saved her at the nick of time using the substitution technique.
After this, it was revealed that Sunraku and Akane had met previously in another game and that Akane was famous because she had discovered a bug in the game BERP. Since she looked up to the player Sunraku and found out that a player of the same name was there, she wanted to meet him in the hopes that they were the same player.
After a lot of sparring, Rei managed to hit Lycagon with one Apocalypse, but still had to hit two more to meet the conditions to use her special techniques. At this point, Sunraku realized that Lycagon was actually something along the lines of a ghost because none of their attacks were causing her to bleed, although damage was being done, so he had the Mana Shaker spell used on her, which was effective, and it proved his hypothesis.
At this point, the Lycagon seemed somewhat desperate and slipped up. Sunraku chose this opportunity to cast a magic chain on her. This distracted her enough for Rei to land her third hit of Apocalypse. While Lycagon did blast away momentarily, she was seemingly unaffected. Rei then plunged her sword to the ground, and prepared for her final ultimate attack to take the Lycagon down.
3. What To Expect In Episode 14 of Shangri-La Frontier Season 2
Since episode 13 of Shangri-La Frontier season 2 ended with Rei landing her third apocalypse on the Lycagon, the conditions for using her ultimate attack have been met. She would need a bit of time to prepare for this attack, but the Lycagon would most definitely not wait for her to attack.
In the upcoming episode, we will get to see Sunraku and Akane distracting the Lycagon while Rei charges up for her ultimate attack. It’s effectiveness on the Lycagon isn’t guaranteed, as most attacks did not work against her so far since she doesn’t really have a physical body. Regardless, episode 14 will likely give a conclusion to the battle between Sunraku, Rei, and the Lycagon.
