The fourth key visual of ‘Shangri-La Frontier’ features Sunraku Arthur Pencilgon with Oikatso in the center. They all look excited to subjugate Weatheremon, the tomb keeper, with swords in hand. It also depicts Weatheremon, the tomb keeper, and Setsuna from a distant day, nestled next to him.
The voice cast for the two new characters from Shangri La Frontier has been revealed, and here’s the list.
Character | Cast | Other Works |
Setsuna Amatsuki | Asami Seto | In ‘Chihayafuru’ as Chihaya Ayase |
Wezaemon the Tombguard | Sho Hayami | In ‘Ascendance of a Bookworm’ as Ferdinand |

Toshiyuki Kubooka of ‘Harukana Receive’ fame is directing the anime at C2C. Yūma Uchida is playing the titular character of Sunraku/Rakurō Hizutome.
Tomb Guard Arc will focus on Sunraku as he reunites with friends from other games.
Shangri-La Frontiere is a generic story, and that’s the show’s point. If you are looking for some “shitty” entertainment like our protagonist, you should give this anime a try.
