Episode 9 will take us to the second round between Tao Ren and Asakura Yoh. It’s Ren’s only opportunity to settle the score with Yoh after his shameful defeat in their first fight.

Episode 9 of the Shaman King(2021) anime, titled “Yoh vs. Ren Again”, has been released on Thursday, May 27, 2021.
Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

3. Episode 8 Recap
In Episode 8, Yoh blames himself for Manta’s injury in his last fight. He cannot afford to risk his friend’s safety, so he cuts all his ties with Manta and goes back to his village.
Not only that, Manta’s parents forbid him to continue his friendship with Yoh any longer. They were about to forcibly send him to America when Ryu rescues him and takes him to Yoh’s village.
Meanwhile, at Asakura’s residence, Yoh asks his grandfather to show him how to achieve mastery over Furyoku. He knows that he has no chance of defeating Ren without a massive boost in his Shaman powers.
Yoh’s grandfather is a veteran Shaman; he guides him to a dark tunnel. Then, he explains to him about the cavern test that Shamans have performed for ages for training purposes.
All Yoh needs to do is cross the deadly tunnel by walking for almost seven days with no food or water. The tunnel is completely dark, where all six senses cease to work, and the only option left is to resort to one’s Shamanic senses.
While Yoh is busy with his training, Manta travels all the way to sort out everything with his friend. He comes back to see a completely worn-out Yoh coming out of the tunnel.
After the training session is over, Yoh’s grandfather makes him go through a test. In this test, Yoh realized that Amidamaru and his powers had reached a whole new level.

Shaman King is a manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump from June 30, 1998.
The series received an abrupt end on August 30, 2004, leaving fans disappointed.
The manga received a reprint in 2009 to give its fans the true ending to the series. It also received an adaptation by studio Xebec in 2001 that was directed by Seiji Mizushima.
It introduces us to a world of shamans. These Shamans are powerful beings who can see and communicate with spirits, ghosts, and gods.
Once in 500 years, a prestigious tournament called The Shaman Fight is organized, and the winner gets to shape the world in his image with the aid of the great spirits. The story revolves around Manta Oyamada, who has a chance encounter with You Asakura that completely changes his life. Asakura aims to become the Shaman King, aided by Manta and his 600-year-old samurai friend Amidamaru. They set out to fulfill You’s dream.
