In Episode 4, Yoh saved yet another spirit from salvation and explained to him the value of friends.

However, Tokagerou wasn’t the only one after Amidamaru. Ren has unlocked some new powers, with which he wants to defeat Yoh and Amidamaru in the upcoming Shaman Fight.

1. Episode 5 Speculation

Episode 5 will most likely introduce us to new Shamans and spirits, who will participate in the upcoming Shaman Fight.

We may also get to know about Ren’s newfound power that he claims to be superior to that of Yoh and Amidamaru. The reason behind his strong hatred towards the human world is still unknown to us.

Meanwhile, Tokagerou needs to find a suitable body for himself. He may be an overpowered spirit, but without a body, he is useless. Tokagerou may choose Ryu if he agrees to become a Shaman.

2. Episode 5 Release Date 

Episode 5 of the Shaman King anime has been released on Thursday, Apr 29, 2021. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

Episode 5 of Shaman King will be released as per schedule. No such delay has been announced.  

3. Episode 4 Recap

Ryuu, the Wooden Sword, was searching for the “best place” to spend quality time with his friends, when he comes across Anna and falls in love with her.

He follows her to her home, where she rejects him on his face and bluntly says that she is Yoh’s fiancé. This makes him totally devasted, and he rushes to a deserted house to mourn for his failure.

Little did he know that the house is haunted by the evil spirit of Tokagerou, a dangerous thug who was killed by Amidamaru about 600 years ago.

For all these years, he was searching for an opportunity to take his revenge on Amidamaru. He immediately takes control of Ryuu’s body against his wish and takes Manta hostage.

He orders his men to steal Harusame from the city museum.  With the world’s strongest sword and a hostage to turn the tables, the evil spirit is finally ready to face Amidamaru.

Tokagerou appears before Yoh’s house and challenges Amidamaru for a final showdown. Yoh accepts the challenge and breaks Harusame with a mere wooden sword.

Tokagerou immediately resorts to putting a blade under Manta’s throat to win the fight. He tells about his past days how he survived in a cruel world all alone.

He was so poor that her mother had to sacrifice herself to provide food for him. He grew up to become the dangerous thug who was feared across the land.

Touched by this sad story, Amidamaru appreciates his efforts to survive all alone and admits that he wouldn’t have survived a life like this.

Yoh explains to him the importance of friendship and how it makes us a better person. He decides to trust Tokagerou and allows him to possess his own body as a symbol of trust.

Despite his tough appearance, he is a softie by heart who craves his mother’s comfort. He breaks down in tears seeing Yoh trusted him and ultimately has a change of heart.

Meanwhile, Ren is still after Amidamaru. He claims to have found a new power that makes him far superior to Yoh, and he will show everyone his true power in the upcoming Shaman Fight.

Shaman King is a manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump from June 30, 1998.

The series received an abrupt end on August 30, 2004, leaving fans disappointed.

The manga received a reprint in 2009 to give its fans the true ending to the series. It also received an adaptation by studio Xebec in 2001 that was directed by Seiji Mizushima.

It introduces us to a world of shamans. These Shamans are powerful beings who can see and communicate with spirits, ghosts, and gods.

Once in 500 years, a prestigious tournament called The Shaman Fight is organized, and the winner gets to shape the world in his image with the aid of the great spirits. The story revolves around Manta Oyamada, who has a chance encounter with You Asakura that completely changes his life. Asakura aims to become the Shaman King, aided by Manta and his 600-year-old samurai friend Amidamaru. They set out to fulfill You’s dream.
