1. Episode 12 Speculation
Shaman King (2021) Episode 12 is titled “Ren vs. En, the End of Tao.” As you can infer from the title itself, the next episode will take us right into the second round of the father-son duel between Tao Ren and Tao En.
The result won’t be the same as the previous fight since Ren has Yoh by his side. Together, they will unravel the secret behind En’s enormous power and find a way to defeat him.

In Episode 11, Ren goes right into Tao En’s den and challenges him in a duel. Despite his newfound powers, Ren doesn’t stand much of a chance before his father’s monstrous strength.
His father reveals that Ren’s sister, Jun, tried to defy him and got punished for her attempt. Now it’s Ren’s turn to join her sister and endure the punishment till he learns a lesson.
With no other options left, Bason travels back to Japan and asks for Asakura Yoh’s help to free his master from imprisonment. He agrees to help almost immediately and travels all the way to China to save Ren.
Meanwhile, Tao En was expecting this turn of events, so he kep his trump card, the Five-curse squad prepared to annihilate anyone who comes to save Ren.
II. Rescuing Ren
The castle is of six floors, among which Tao En stays at the topmost one, and Ren is imprisoned in an underground basement. So, it is impossible for any intruder to save Ren and attack En at the same time.
Horohoro and Ryu keep the Five-curse squad occupied while Yoh sneaks into the basement to free Ren. The initial plan was to escape back to Japan with Ren, but they had to change it when Ren refuses to go back without defeating his father.
Yoh knows that nothing can stop Ren once he makes up his mind. So, he teams up with Ren and advances towards the top floor, hoping that they can defeat Tao En by joining forces. Will they bring an end to Tao family’s inhuman traditions? We have to wait for the next episode to find that out.

Shaman King is a manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump from June 30, 1998.
The series received an abrupt end on August 30, 2004, leaving fans disappointed.
The manga received a reprint in 2009 to give its fans the true ending to the series. It also received an adaptation by studio Xebec in 2001 that was directed by Seiji Mizushima.
