Episode 48 Recap
This episode starts with Lyserg appreciating Bron for showing the way and making him stronger. However, Bron is still alive after Lyserg’s Hellfire attack. Bron strikes Lyserg and goes to finish the rest of the fighters on the spiderweb.
Since only Ms. Maiden can move, she faces Bron and uses her Over Soul Torture Series to immobilize him. Bron converts his body into a spider using his Over Soul and goes to attack Ms. Maiden. To Bron’s surprise, Lyserg intercepts him and uses Cremation to defeat him.
Moving to the next plant, the group encounters Magna. The Patch member reveals his Over Soul’s function and attacks Iron Maiden to eliminate the healer. Magna realizes Ms. Maiden isn’t in the armor, while Ren says Jeanne is back in the previous plant recovering.
Ren then attacks with his electrical powers that break Magna’s Over Soul. Unfortunately, using the Patch song, Magna gets a boost of Furyoku. Magna strikes Ren rapidly as he gains back his Over Soul.
Opacho tells the group Ren is trying to develop a technique to defeat Magna. This makes Yoh realizes Opacho can read minds like Hao. He then tells Ren to finish up the fight quickly so they can have an important talk.
With that, Ren reveals a new move Electric Bang that defeats Magna. Meanwhile, Hao is guided to the shrine where he will rest to combine with the Great Spirit. Consequently, Mikihisa camping back at the island, finds out that Redseb and Seyrarm are gone to find Mu.
Later Yoh reveals Hao gave them Opacho, who can read minds so they can get to him easily. With the group suspicious of Hao’s plan, Ren tells them it isn’t possible to know if the schemes are good or bad. The group then moves to the Lake Plant and encounters Radim.
Yoh and the group find that Radim uses his Over Soul with the Furyoku concentrated on his mic. Radim swiftly moves and attacks Yoh crushing his Byakko. As Ryu and Lyserg move to attack Radim with their Over Soul, Radim cuts through their attack.
Radim then explains it’s no use to go further since their Furyoku will be lesser facing Hao. With the group not going to give up, Ren says they won’t quit since Radim doesn’t intend to kill them. Radim gets provoked and swiftly stabs Faust.
