Episode 41 Recap
This episode starts after Team Ren’s victory against Team Vidyaraja in the tournament.
Anna appears and lets Horohoro know that given his secret, more problems are on the way. She states they’ll be facing Yoh next, and hopefully, Horohoro won’t have a fallout before it.
Later, Marco and the team with Manta and Tamao are seen heading to X-Law’s base. Ms. Maiden reflects on how their action has caused deaths and lost team members. She then finds out from Lyserg that his revenge for Hao isn’t there but still wants him dead for his crimes.
Gandhara encounters Yoh as he trains for his upcoming match. Lady Sati reveals she must send Yoh to hell for the sake of the five warriors and prepares to take him out. Meanwhile, Team X-II of the X-Laws takes matters into their hands and plan to take out Hao in his hideout.
To their surprise, Hao takes them all out and speaks with Dingbat before taking action. Dingbat uses his trump card to fire a beam from his angel satellite. He is astonished he is alive since the target was in the area around him and finds Hao still alive.
Hao kills Dingbat, knowing they found intel on him that shouldn’t be leaked. At the same time, Marco and the team fall in confusion after witnessing the bright beam. They then get attacked by Anahol from Team Nile.
Anahol wants to take revenge on the X-Laws for killing his brother. As he attacks, Lyserg tries to keep Ms. Maiden and the others safe. Lyserg asks for Ms. Maiden’s help but realizes she’s traumatized about her actions with Team Nile.
Simultaneously, Sati takes out Yoh and states it had to be done so he can become one of the five warriors to face Hao. Later Hao meets the demon from Osorezan and is guided to face his first fight to get back to life.
He faces his ancestor Yohken who defeated Hao as a patch tribe member five hundred years before. As Yoh tries to defeat Yohken, he gets outmatched easily. Even though Yoh faces a setback, he realizes he can use soul integration given his body is in the spirit world.
Yoh and Amidamaru use the power of will to soul integrate and form their new Over Soul. Matamune, watching secretly, knows that Yoh has to undergo this training to reach Hao’s level. Yoh then prepares to attack with his new Over Soul: Spirit of Sword – Byakko.

Shaman King is a manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump from June 30, 1998.
The series received an abrupt end on August 30, 2004, leaving fans disappointed.
The manga received a reprint in 2009 to give its fans the true ending to the series. It also received an adaptation by studio Xebec in 2001 that was directed by Seiji Mizushima.
