Episode 40 Recap
This episode continues the fight between Team Ren and Team Vidyaraja.
Even though Ren can’t land a hit on Yainage, he intends to fight until he finds their weakness. As Ren fights, he gets the same feeling as when he fought Yoh before and gets pumped.
Yainage gets surprised that Ren manages to land a hit on him. Ren explains that for a long time, he lived to strike down his enemies. He overcame that weakness by losing many battles, making him a stronger fighter.
Ren uses Lighting Spear on Yainage’s Over Soul, defeating him.
He says he now uses his Over Soul in a new way to give power and calls it Bushin U2. The scene goes back to when Ren, Horohoro, and Joco trained to level up on using their spirit ally.
Aba, Joco’s new spirit ally, explains how they can form powerful combinations by adjusting things slightly. Back in the match, Jackson pushes away Yainage for his disgrace in getting defeated and bringing shame to Sati’s name.
He then states to Team Ren he will not tolerate them as Yainage did. Since Ren is almost out of Furyoku, he tags out of the fight, but Jackson attacks him before leaving. Ren gets unconscious, and Joco tries to fight Jackson.
Aba appears and smacks Joco stating that Ren is fine as he only got a mental attack.
He reminds Joco and Horohoro to keep their cool whenever the opponents provoke them. As Joco fights Jackson, he gets shot by arrows from Kado’s Over Soul.
Horohoro gets a mental shock watching his team get defeated. He recalls his training with Aba, who told him to fight with his true self.
Aba knows Horohoro’s soul is in strange darkness and tells Kororo to help Horohoro overcome it to get the best of his powers.
Horohoro then unleashes his ice powers and easily takes Jackson and Kado’s Over Soul.
Sati is delighted that the rumors are true about Horohoro being one of the last warriors. Later, Hao explains how Horohoro’s true spirit can form a powerful Over Soul.
He further states that Gandhara plans to use this power given the circumstances in the Shaman Fight. Hao then tells his followers to prepare and start the Star Festival. The next match brings Team Flower against Magical Princesses.
