New events are developing in the Shaman Fight, and unexpected plots unfold. It was nice to witness Hao barge in to save Yoh from the Golem. Joco’s return with stronger powers to protect the gang was stunning.
Yoh and his friends reflect on the incidents, but the danger seems to be approaching. What plans did Hao state to Opacho? Will Yoh and his friends get into more trouble?
Anna is intimidating, no doubt, but she made a practical decision to use the Golem. I feel the fight from here on will be indirectly connected to the Shaman Fight. Let’s wait to learn more as Yoh and his friends face unexpected events as the series develops.

Episode 37 Recap
This episode continues with Hao and his followers facing Yoh and his friends. Hao wonders if he has the connection of friendship that Lyserg mentioned. He states with having great power, he only knows pain.
Lyserg states with laws, there are punishments, but the law doesn’t protect a lawless society. Yoh says you get what you give, but one’s heart matters. He then uses the Over Soul – Spirit of Sword. Hao realizes the Over Soul is by Matamune and feels hurt looking at it.
He says the only friend he had was Matamune. Afterward, when Hao left, Yoh says to his friends Hao only wanted to protect them from the Golem. Yoh states he doesn’t know what to do to stop Emeth but leaves it to them and falls unconscious.
The Golem is annoyed by their petty power and attacks them. Lyserg takes the gang away from the Golem because attacking it would risk killing Redseb’s sister. Redseb apologizes for causing trouble, but Ren tells him to take responsibility.
Ren tells Lyserg he’ll act as a decoy if things go bad. Muntzer shoots a powerful beam using Emeth, thinking Lyserg and the gang are trying to steal his furyoku. Suddenly Joco appears out of nowhere and deflects the beam using Winds of Laughter.
Meanwhile, Anna tells Manta about Matamune being the key to defeating Hao. She explains that she’ll do what it takes to make him the Shaman King since Yoh saved her. Later, Joco faces the Golem and counters its attacks using his new skills.
Orona explains how Joco could get out of darkness because he had friends who shared the same backgrounds. It shows Joco gained more furyoku by Pascual Abaj’s test. Joco and the Golem clash intensely, showing how shamans fight with raw power.
As Joco and Emeth attack, Anna stops them and wakes up Yoh. Since Anna wants to eliminate the Golem, Muntzer knows he has to destroy Emeth. Anna prevents Muntzer from destroying the Golem and intends to use it to defeat Hao.
Muntzer is spooked that Anna is very assertive with orders, and she tells him to stay to show how to use the Golem. With that, all the commotion with the Golem settles down. Everyone goes back to preparing for what is to come.
Later, Yoh finds Joco sacrificed his sight to understand Seyrarm’s closed heart. Even though it was foolish, Yoh knows Joco did what his heart matters.

Shaman King is a manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump from June 30, 1998.
The series received an abrupt end on August 30, 2004, leaving fans disappointed.
