Episode 28 Recap
This episode continued with team Tsuki-Gumi trying to finish off Horohoro and Joco. Yoh appeared and stopped them with an attack. Nickrom understands it was Silva who ratted about this ambush.
Yoh mentions Ren lost focus because he had remorse when he heard Chrom’s name. Telling that the old Ren is different, Yoh tells Nickrom to leave. In anger, Nickrom says that Yoh knows nothing of the Patch laws and orders team Tsuki-Gumi to attack.
Team Tsuki-Gumi realizing Yoh’s team members are with him, mentions it’s out of their hands now. Horohoro and Joco tell Yoh they can save Ren since Faust is here, but Faust reveals that Ren is dead due to severe trauma.
Yoh tells Horohoro they can save Ren as his soul is still around and reveals that Iron Maiden knows how to save his life. With the X-Laws on their way to save Ren, Manta finds out their deal is for Yoh to forfeit the Shaman fight.
Meanwhile, Jun with Pyron faces Kanna with Ashcroft of team Hana-Gumi. Anna tells Jun the armor isn’t the medium even though Pyron has taken Ashcroft out. Anna says the medium is ectoplasm and the actual fight is yet to come.
Horohoro and Joco are upset that Yoh is getting help from the X-Laws and worry about their terms. Horohoro knowing this is the only way to save Ren, warns Yoh that if it doesn’t work, he’ll end him for it.
On reaching, Marco tells Yoh how he is a fool to sacrifice his goals for a friend and that he’s not fit to be a Shaman King like this. Yoh thinking how things have turned out, is grateful for everyone helping him so far and is sorry for what he plans to do next.
