The Seven Deadly Sins released its third season in Japan in October 2019. They received a very negative response from the audience, mainly due to the poor animation.
It’s manga released its final chapter on 25th March, bringing the story to a close. It’s compiled 41st volume will start shipping from 15th May.
Kodansha USA Publishing announced recently that the manga is getting a sequel. While it’s title has not been set in stone, it is likely to be “Mokushiroku no Yon-kishi (The Four Knights of the Apocalypse)”. The story will center around the son of Meliodas — Tristan, one of the four horsemen.
We also believe that Ban’s son, Lancelot, will be the second of the four horsemen.
A page from the final chapter of the original manga was attached to the press release as well:
Nakaba Suzuki, the series creator, stated sometime in February that side-stories for the “remaining characters” will come out “someday.” He also mentioned that this would only happen after he has begun serializing a new work.
The manga released its final chapter on Wednesday, titled “Like That Sky”. The chapter shows the events that happened on Tristan’s 10th birthday.
Tristan is certain that his father is a bad person as he is one of the Seven Deadly Sins. However, he is given the gift of the true story of the Seven Deadly Sins for his birthday.
This makes him realize why his father is adored by the entire kingdom so much. The chapter ends with the father-son duo walking off in an open field while Tristan proclaims that he wants to be one of the Seven Deadly Sins when he grows up.
