The fantasy action manga Sengoku Youko has captured readers’ hearts and minds with a diverse cast of characters and an exciting plot that follows the journey of a demon sibling and a human samurai.
Its highly-anticipated adaptation is set to captivate the audience with stunning character designs, thrilling fight sequences, and shounen-inspired elements.
Sengoku Youko anime’s official website announced on Thursday that the anime will premiere on January 10, 2024. Crunchyroll will stream the series simultaneously as it gets aired in Japan.
The Sengoku Youko anime will be split into two thrilling arcs – the “Yo Naoshi Kyodai-hen” (World Reform Siblings Arc) and the “Sen Ma Konton-hen” (Thousand Demons Chaos Arc) – and will run for a whole three cours, which is equivalent to an entire quarter of a year, promising a complete adaptation of the story.
Sengoku Youko takes place in a world divided into two groups: humans and monsters known as katawara. Although Tama is a katawara, she loves humans and swears to protect them from evil, even if it means fighting against her kind. On the other hand, her brother Jinka, who is primarily human, hates humans. The siblings are joined by a cowardly swordsman, Shinsuke, who wishes to become stronger.
When the group uncovers a plot to experiment on humans and turn them into monsters, they vow to defeat whoever is behind it.
