Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles episode 7, titled “Land of Promises,” was released this week.

So far, Rio and Latifa received Lady Dryas’ blessings in the form of a kiss during the Grand Spirit Festival. Reiss successfully managed to lure the Weiverns towards the village,and defended the village by defeating the most powerful Weirvern causing the others to flee. 

Rio arrived at his parent’s hometown to fulfill his mother’s wish. The head of the village revealed herself to be his grandmother. He tried asking her about his parents, but she told him that it is not the right time for him to learn that.

Episode 8 Speculations and Discussions

Episode 8 is titled “Royal Lineage.”

I’m sure we will get to see Gon being put under trial for attempting to assault Ruri. 

Since they’ll need someone to help restrain Gon while they travel to the capital, we shall see our boy, Rio, take the initiative. 

I hope that Gon is not let go easily and faces the consequences of his actions. 

Rio’s parent’s origins are not yet revealed. I have a feeling that Rio going to the capital will help him get more insight on this particular matter.

Episode 8 of the Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles anime, titled “Royal Lineage”, has been released on Tuesday, Aug 24, 2021.

No, Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles is not on break this week. Episode 8 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

Recap of Episode 7

Episode 7, titled “Land of Promises,” starts with Rio arriving at Yagumo village as he wishes to learn more about his parent’s origins. 

It was also his mother’s wish to revisit their hometown, so he decides to build a grave for her in her hometown to pay respects to his late mother.

Rio asks two girls working on the field if they could show him the way to the head of the village. One of the girls, named Ruri, claims to be the grandchild of the head and takes him to see her. 

Once he meets the head and mentions his parent’s names, she immediately realizes Rio’s identity. 

Madam Yuba tells him that she is his father’s mother, making her his grandmother. Rio further asks her more about his parents, but she is unwilling to reveal any more information as she thinks it’s not right. 

Rio decides to stay in the village for the time being. While he is in the village, he helps everyone with their fieldwork and other chores. 

He also builds a bathhouse with his Spirit Arts, which everyone can use. Shin, who is Sayo’s brother, takes Rio hunting and is surprised to see his skills.

On one of the following days, Gon, the son of the head of the neighboring village, arrives and creates a ruckus. He even teases Ruri and Sayo and gets aggressive with Shin. 

Madam Yuba is compelled to let him stay in their village under the clause that he will not leave his cottage. Even then, Rio is wary of him and gives the girls a protective charm which is actually an item that will alert him. 

The following night, Gon arrives at Ruri and Sayo’s room with his men and tries to assault her. 

Rio is immediately alerted and rushes to the scene, beating all of them senselessly without any control over himself. Gon is then taken into custody.

The episode ends with Rio apologizing to Madam Yuba and the girls for losing control over his temper whereas they are just grateful to him since he protected them.
