New Episodes of Sonic Prime to Hit Netflix This Year, Teases SEGA

SEGA reveals the release window for Sonic Prime’s new episodes. The animated series premiered on Netflix for the first time in December and follows the titular character as he goes on a quest to restore the Paradox Prism.

In the previous episodes, Sonic engages in a big fight with Dr. Eggman. It shatters the Paradox Prism, and he finds himself in an alternate dimension which is known as the Shatterverse.

The titular character is voiced by Deven Meck, who is joined by actors like Ashleigh Ball, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ian Hanlin, Adam Nurada, and Brian Drummond.

Season 1 of Sonic the Hedgehog has eight episodes. They introduce us to the characters and the nitty-gritty of the Shatterverse. But the fans are eagerly waiting to find out what happens next.

In a recent tweet from Sonic the Hedgehog’s official account, the makers announced that new episodes will come out sometime in 2023They didn’t announce a definite date, but we can expect the episodes to be out later this year.

What can we expect from Sonic Prime’s future episodes?

Dr. Eggman

Season 1 of Sonic Prime ends with the Chaos Council trying to master the Shatterverse while Sonic and his friends are trying to defeat Rusty in No Place.

Sonic and his friends acquire and make contact with another piece of the Paradox Prism, but the road will be challenging from here. The future episodes will introduce even more variants of Tails, Knuckles, and others as Sonic tries to fix what happened.

Sonic Prime’s first season highlights the different versions of De. Eggman in New Yoke City. The Chaos Council wants to eliminate Sonic, but Tails Nine reminds them that he will be needed alive.

Sonic has some peculiar powers that they don’t understand. The titular hero’s fight with the Council will grow fiercer as we move on to season 2. Additionally, it will be interesting if Shadow helps Sonic in his fight against the dark forces.

The makers have previously announced that the show will have 24 episodes in all. If season 2 has eight episodes like its predecessor, we can expect another season in the future.

Since its inception, the show has garnered mostly positive reviews from the audience, and as Sonic the Hedgehog gains popularity, Netflix will look to expand the franchise even more.

It will be curious to see how the different worlds of the Shatterverse connect and how the Paradox Prism gets restored (if at all).

Those following Sonic the Hedgehog content can look forward to more when new episodes hit the streaming platform this year!
