Apple TV’s See is returning with a third season, and the stakes are as high as they can get. If you’ve seen the trailer, you’ll know that this will be the show’s last season, and Baba Voss will pick up his sword for one last fight.
The trailer also provided a lot of insight into where the show will pick up from, the plot, and more. So, let’s jump right in.
Season 3 of See is the final chapter in this saga. The series will premiere on August 26, 2022, on Apple TV+. The plot follows one last battle between Baba Voss, his people, and the Trivantians with destructive weapons that could eradicate entire cities.
The Plot
Season 2 ended with three significant things. First, Baba Voss and the Payans won against the Trivantians, and Baba’s younger brother Edo Voss died. Second, Baba Voss got tired of war and politics, so he decided to leave his wife and kids at Pennsa. Third, Jerlamarel’s son Oloman demonstrated the workings of an explosive to Edo Voss’ mentor.
The Season 3 trailer showcased how people with weapons of mass destruction were wiping off entire cities, and Oloman and the sighted children are likely working with the Trivantians. The trailer also depicted scenes where the former Queen Kane, Sibeth, was gathering a following of her own.
While we still don’t know if she’ll join the Trivantians or not, it is evident that she wants to be a ruler again and reclaim her place in the Payan empire. Finally, we see Baba Voss, his two kids, Haniwa and Kofun, and his wife, Maghra, fighting on the battlefield. Once again, the family is trying to protect themselves, but this time, they’ll be fighting for something bigger.
Until now, the show’s larger narrative has been about what the future will look like. Would sight come back? If it does, how will people leave? Will the sighted people dominate, or would they coexist with the non-sighted people? Since Season 3 is the final one, we will get clear answers to these questions.

Cast and Characters
Season 3 will have most of its main characters reprise their roles. Jason Momoa will return as Baba Voss, Hera Hilmar as Queen Maghra, Archie Madekwe as Kofun, and Nesta Cooper as Haniwa. Besides these, we’ll also be seeing Sibeth Kane, Oloman, Edo Voss’ mentor, Wren, and a few others in pivotal roles.
Overall, it is good that the show is ending with a brief run. Although it wasn’t one of the best shows to have come out in recent times, it was pretty entertaining. It is good that the studio and the creators understand that stretching it further might make the show boring and unnecessary. I’m pretty excited to see how it all unfolds and how the story ends.
