Marvel has been pretty secretive about its upcoming Disney+ series Secret Invasion. However, with production currently underway, the secrets are bound to get out sooner or later.
The latest one is Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes making a possible cameo with the MCU’s new American President Ritson.
New set photos posted on Instagram (via @The_Insta_Phils) show Rhodes with President Ritson on the front page of a prop newspaper on the set in Liverpool Street Station in London, U.K.
The title hints at worldwide political troubles as it reads, “President Ritson in London for Emergency Talks.”
It’s interesting to know how the Skrulls invasion might affect the world politics. If the US president is having ‘emergency talks’ with other world leaders then the Skrulls might manipulate people worldwide to create another “Avengers: Civil War” type of situation for our superheroes.
Last we saw Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos, the duo was on friendly terms, if someone is going to have an all-out invasion against the Avengers, it might be either the newcomers, Emilia Clarke or Olivia Colman’s characters.
As for Rhodes, he’s seen in a suit and not his uniform. While The Falcon and the Winter Soldier revealed Rhodes was still a part of the MCU, his cameo in Secret Invasion is just an addition to War Machine’s other upcoming appearances in Armor Wars and a rumoured role in Ironheart.
It is also likely that the newspaper prop might just be an easter egg for fans and that Rhodes might not even have any scenes in the series.
Another photo in the lot was a poster for “Rogers: The Musical,” so maybe the Avengers musical from Hawkeye gained popularity around the world.
Although Secret Invasion doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet, the series is rumoured to premiere sometime on Disney+ in late 2022 or early 2023.

Secret Invasion is an upcoming television show on Disney+. It is based on the Marvel comic of the same name and will be a part of Marvel’s Phase Five.
The show will focus on Nick Fury and the alien race of the Skrulls, who have been infiltrating the Earth for years.
Cast members include Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Colbie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Ben Mendelsohn, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, and Kingsley Ben-Adir. It will be released on June 21, 2023.
