It was revealed that Season 2 of the ‘Urusei Yatsura’ will air for two consecutive courses (a quarter of a year) starting January 11, 2024. A year-end special program for the anime featuring voice actors Hiroshi Kamiya, Sumire Uesaka, and Shūhei Nakano will air on December 29, 2023.
The trailer video starts with the main character, Ataru Moroboshi, and showcases the lineup of female characters that will star alongside Lum in the upcoming season.
We also see several men who will serve as Ataru’s romantic rivals. The wandering Buddhist monk Cherry and Lum’s baby cousin, Ten, also briefly appear.

Miyu Irino (known for Haku in Spirited Away) has joined the previous season’s cast and will be playing the role of Inaba.

About Urusei Yatsura
Urusei Yatsura is a manga series by Rumiko Takahashi. It has a total of 374 chapters and was published from 1978 to 1987. Its anime adaptation received 195 episodes from 1981 to 1986. A new anime adaptation with selected stories began airing in October 2022.
In the series, a humanoid alien race invades the Earth but agrees that if the protagonist wins in a game of tag, they will leave it unharmed. Ataru wins against the alien girl, Lum.
Lum misunderstands and thinks Ataru is proposing marriage, and starts living with him and joins his high school. Ataru is a trouble magnet and gets stuck in weird situations pretty often.
