Who knew the spin-off series of Sword Art Online would be as popular as the original? Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale is a story of an insecure “tall girl” whose only escape is the virtual reality game Gun Gale Online.
She enters the game as *cough cough* a loli devil character who mercilessly hunts down other players in the firearm-centered world. A second installment for the series has been announced, and here’s the information.
The Sword Art Online Alternative’s second season: Gun Gale Online, was announced during the Dengeki Bunko 30th anniversary event. A teaser trailer and visual have been released along with the announcement.
The teaser trailer features our protagonist, pink devil, who is set to take down other players again in season 2.
The anime will be produced by 3 Hz, and the staff from season 1 is returning for season 2.

The first season of “Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale” ended with the “Squad Jam” tournament, a team Battle Royale variation of the Bullet of Bullets tournament.
The second season will pick up from there. Contrary to the belief, there is a lot of source material to adapt from. The anime is entertaining, but it’s nothing remarkable.
