Yes, Kosuke, loving 2D waifus is perfectly acceptable. I hope you’ll make that Kinsey scale of 2D/3D love for all the otakus out there like Yamamoto. I literally laughed out loud at her line “over half of the young people in England have BL potential?” lol.
Even though she is a little meddler, she is entertaining to watch. Though I’m surprised Ibarada basically confessed to her that she liked Kosuke. That was unexpected.
Anyway, I enjoyed Himuro’s awkward attempts to get Kanade to open up to her. As a bonus, I learned what the Rubin scale of liking and love is, so there’s that as well.
It was interesting to learn about what happened to Kanade. The teacher she was crushing on was thrown by her judo instructor, and I had no idea that this would be the case. But Yukimura is right, what do you mean by “normal”?
I do not feel like living when my life is defined by something of such subjective value as “normal”. It makes sense not to want to make waves or stand out, but I wonder if living in fear is the answer. What if you lived your life according to who you really were? That, I believe, would change your outlook on life.
Here are the latest updates.
Episode 9 Speculations
At the end of episode 8, Kotonoha argued with Yukimura about what being normal is and how she became like this. Episode 9 of Science Fell in Love season 2 is titled, “Science – Types Fell in Love, So They Tried Preparing For A Campus Festival”.
From the title, we know what we will be seeing next. As part of their biological experiments, both Yukimura and Himuro will monitor the rise of Oxytocin levels in certain situations.
There might be a scenario where both of them end up hugging each other after visiting a horror house. The possibilities are endless.
Furthermore, episode 9 will be more focused on Kotonoha’s past and how she will handle it. The next episode will see Himuro helping Kotonoha with her problems, as she has already told Yukimura and Himuro about her history with her teacher.
To help her get her ideas about what normal life is, she could bring her high school teacher along and ask him to forgive her for the stupid mistake she made during their date.
This would help her to finally forgive him. It would allow her to see things differently. How will the fate of Kotonoha turn out? Stay tuned for the upcoming episode.

No, episode 9 of Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove season 2 is not on break this week. The episode will be released as per schedule.
Episode 8 Recap
The episode begins with Yukimura and Himuro arguing about using Kotonoha as a subject, but later they hug each other to make up. During the next section, Ena and Arika discuss what it’s like to be an Otaku and a Mangaka today.
Kosuke Inukai, the 2D Anime girl he had taken to a date party, was feeling confused and regretting his decision after talking with them. Regarding bisexuality and homosexuality, they all discuss the Kinsey Scale Theory. Kosuke came out of this feeling with more courage.
The scene changes to Himuro’s simple confession and Kotonoha’s shock. Her being a martial artist and being born into a family of martial artists led to her being open to Himuro and Yukimura about her past.
A former high school teacher named Takahashi was also mentioned. She told them the inevitable story about beating Takahashi sensei by mistake. Kotonoha was enraged by Yukimura’s response after hearing this.
They got into an argument. What will Yukimura do to solve Kotonoha’s problem? Perhaps we will find out in the next episode.
