Episode 16 begins Yuito and his allies going to Arahabaki with the device to generate a one-time passcode that will give them access to the whole psionic circuit. Meanwhile, Kasane and her group intercept some OSFs experimenting on the others.
They claim to be under Fubuki’s orders, but that clearly isn’t true. As they break out in a fight, the Togetsu come for Kasane. Naomi, along with Alice and the others, protects her. Naomi is dying, and so is Alice, and Kasane arrives on the scene.
Yuito broadcasts the recording of his brother talking about the dispensability of civilian lives. Will it be broadcast throughout?
Episode 17 Speculations
The major mystery in this plot is about Karen. What exactly is his objective absorbing and combining both Kasane and Yuito’s Psionic abilities? It is likely that he would be trying to go back in time and assassinate Yakumo to change the timeline.
How does Yuito come to lose his eyesight, as we’ve seen his future self without it?

Episode 16 Recap
The previous episode of Scarlet Nexus starts with a vision Kasane has of her sister and their memories together, but Naomi’s face has been scratched out in all of them.
It is also revealed that the human-derived “others” are being moved somewhere, apparently under the command of General Fubuki.
As Yuito and his comrades enter a facility to enter Arahabaki, they lose all telepathic communication from outside. As they walk inside, Gemma tells them that the Arahabaki was built under Suoh in many layers, and they are currently in the layer that controls Arahabaki.
Luka is fatigued from teleporting so many people at once. Yuito asks Luka if he is okay, and Luka asks him if he’s okay about the chief, which he isn’t. Gemma asks Tsumugi if there is an easy access point, and she mentions there is a point of dense circuitry.
Sumeragi’s men are seen assembling the others that they’re experimenting on. Kasane and the gang come to rescue the others, among whom are her sister Naomi and also Alice.
The soldiers tell Kasane that they are under General Fubuki’s order, but Kasane doesn’t believe them.
Sumeragi sees this as an opportunity to see the other’s capabilities as weapons. He seeks to deploy them against the Seiran.
Meanwhile, Fubuki’s location is found, and Sumeragi instructs his men to carry out their orders. Suoh’s OSF tries to find Fubuki.
On the other hand, the Togetsu come for Kasane and Naomi, and the others come to protect her, dying in the process. Karen finds the whereabouts of Alice and comes to find her as an other, but she dies as well. He then grabs Kasane’s head and absorbs her time travel abilities.
Yuito and his companions find the access point for Arahabaki, a desk just like on Togetsu. Yuito broadcasts the recording of Sumeragi, saying he will put civilians’ lives at risk for some long-forgotten revenge. In the end, we see Karen catch hold of Yuito to absorb his psionic powers.
What exactly is Karen trying to reset?
