Episode 24 of Scarlet Nexus starts with an alive Karen coming out of what was supposed to be a dead Yakumo’s grave. Yuito and his friends ask him to remove the entanglement he created.
The current Karen arrives and blames the mausoleum Karen for his plans not working out.
Yuito tries to convince him to help close the Kunad Gate by getting rid of the entanglements. Will Karen understand that some things can’t be changed?

Fans feel Karen has been portrayed as a lot more deranged than he actually is in the game. The only similarity was dropping that pyramid on him in the end, but that didn’t affect him in the least.
Karen seems too far gone to agree to eliminate the Kunad Gate. Will Yuito and Kasane somehow trick Karen into doing it?

Episode 24 Recap
The person inside the mausoleum turns out to be a version of Karen who successfully time-travelled to 2000 years ago. He was drawn to Yakumo’s red strings power and tried to save Alice.
He connected himself to Arahabaki to build a future where Alice would live. Meanwhile, the Karen from Yuito’s time appears and asks the other version why he couldn’t travel to Yakumo’s time.
Unsatisfied with any answer he receives, he takes mausoleum Karen’s memories and sees all the memories of his versions. None of those versions could save Alice, and entanglements were created.
Yuito tries to convince Karen to give up on Alice and save the world. Unfazed, Karen still tries to take Yuito’s red strings but is stopped by others. So, he teleports Yuito and Kasane to another plane.
They see visions of Nagi and Naomi, asking Yuito and Kasane to save them. They persevere through the guilt trip, making Karen think they don’t care enough.
Yuito uses his psionic powers and makes Karen relive a memory of Alice that would make him want to move on. Right when he seems to have come to his senses, he grabs Yuito and absorbs his powers and memories.
Yuito directs the pyramid to fall on Karen and crush him. From the dust and debris emerges an unhurt Karen, ready to fight Yuito.

Scarlet Nexus is an upcoming action role-playing game and anime developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The anime series adaptation will be produced by Sunrise and licensed by Funimation outside of Asia. It will premiere on July 1, 2021.
It features a brain punk futuristic world where humans have figured out a way to channel their brain powers in order to keep humanity safe from the hands of other worldly mutants known as Others.
The player will get to experience a new futuristic world while fighting these mutant aliens and also select from two different protagonists: Yuito Sumeragi and Kasane Randall.
