Yuito wakes up to his mother and Kasane making breakfast together, and he tries to impress his mother with his cooking skills.
Wakana tells the group that the Kunad Gate is sustained by the resonance of Yuito and Kasane’s powers. The only way to make it go away would be to send Kasane and Yuito to the Chronos terminal so that they take out the entanglements.
With the mission accomplished, Wakana tells her children that she needs to go back to her time.
Episode 22 Speculations
Now that the dimension entanglements are gone, does it mean that the Kunad gate will go back to not existing? Does that suffice for reversing any of the deaths that happened in the series? Fans would like to see Naomi come back.
It seems too small a save for the root of all problems, Kunad Gate, to vanish. Karen has been keeping unusually quiet these past day or so. We need him back in action.

Episode 21 Recap
Kasane and Yuito’s mother is seen preparing breakfast, and Yuito couldn’t be happier. Their teammates wonder why she has been pulled back into her time. It’s because she has the power of red strings.
She says the dimension entanglements within the Kunad Gate need to be eliminated. No one understands what in the world that is supposed to mean. The gate is a dimensional hole in a distorted state.
The only way to fix it is for Kasane and Yuito to enter the gate together. It is a place inside the gate called the Chronos terminal. Then they must locate the entanglements.
As they arrive at the terminal, Wakana’s voice guides them. They spot three entanglements and travel to that day at the old OSF hospital, taking the entanglements out.
Then they travel to Suoh city 50 years in the future, taking the entanglements out even as she’s assaulted with memories. The third entanglement is from an unnamed memory of Karen, and they untangle that as well.
When they return, Wakana tells them she needs to return to her time, where she dies. The Togetsu need to connect her brain to BABE for them to have this information. If she had stayed, the gate wouldn’t dissipate either.
In the end, she leaves a message for them saying how much she loves her children and how proud she is of them.
