Scarlet Nexus Episode 21: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

The Togetsu control computer BABE tries to trick everyone by creating a hologram of Yuito’s mother.

Of course, Yuito and Kasane don’t buy it, following which BABE creates all kinds of obstacles until they reach the main unit.

The Togetsu deleted all data that was on BABE, making it not much more than useless junk.

Luka suggests that they ask the person who would know most about it, and that is Wakana herself. Kasane and Yuito decide to use red strings to time travel and ask Wakana before she does.  Will they find the answers they’re looking for?

Episode 21 Speculations

The Togetsu seem to have erased all data from BABE and, therefore, BABE itself. If it was so easy for them to do, it must mean that they have a solid backup plan, good enough for BABE not to matter.

Wakana also further reiterates that there is no other way of stopping the Kunad Gate other than Yuito dying. Does this mean all hope is lost? Will Wakana kill her son herself for the greater good? Fans think if such a thing is inevitable, it isn’t likely to happen in at least a few more episodes.

Episode 21 Release Date

Episode 21 of the Scarlet Nexus anime has been released on Thursday, Nov 18, 2021. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

This anime runs on a weekly schedule. New episode releases are seven days apart.

Episode 20 Recap

So it’s shown that the reason Kasane called Yuito’s mother Wakana, mom, is because she was in her care when she was a young girl. Afterward, she went to Suoh and met Captain Sumeragi, who knew she was from Togetsu and wanted to shelter her.

The hologram in Wakana’s form tells everyone how dangerous Kunad Gate is. She says she is sorry for leaving them so early, but Yuito and Kasane don’t buy it one bit, she is not their mother.

As Yuito and Kasane expose her for being a warmonger, the hologram shows her true colors and tells them how the Togetsu killed Wakana and integrated her brain into BABE.

The group reaches BABE’s central unit after facing many booby traps. The Togetsu erased every bit of data on BABE, making it nothing more than useless junk.

Luka remarks that the only person who can help them now with red strings is Wakana because she raised Kasane. So, of course, Kasane decides to time travel and ask her. Yuito faints from the pressure that’s been put on his brain.

The Wakana of the past tells Kasane that BABE was connected to the brain of every red strings user. It used them to send all the data back through time to the one with the power of the red strings.

Wakana tells Kasane that killing Yuito is indeed the only way to stop the Kunad Gate. She says she will go to Kasane’s time to solve everything, right after giving Yuito his ear cuff.

The Others attack the hospital, Yuito gets attacked too. His mother, Wakana, and Kasane look for him in different places. Kasane saves Yuito from and puts his ear cuff on him, as had happened in his memory.

Kasane takes Wakana to her own time, and Yuito meets his mother after all those years of thinking she was dead.

Scarlet Nexus is an upcoming action role-playing game and anime developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The anime series adaptation will be produced by Sunrise and licensed by Funimation outside of Asia. It will premiere on July 1, 2021.
