Scarlet Nexus Episode 20: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Kagero flat out tells Yuito and everyone else that he killed Papa Sumeragi with just an “I could leave if you want.” as consolation.

Yuito is having none of this nonsense, so he does what any self-respecting son would do, challenge the killer to a duel, not call the police. Pfft, no.

All of them decide to thwart Togetsu’s plans but to do that, they need to get to the Togetsu control computer, which someone managed to name BABE.

As they stand there, with the ground shaking, a disembodied voice appears. What does it want to say or mean?

Episode 20 Speculations

Kasane seems to be constantly worrying about what the future Yuito told her. His psionic powers sustain the Kunad Gate, and if Kasane kills him, it would mean an end to all their suffering.

The ending they gave us was a scandalous one. In the place with the control computer, a hologram appears to accompany the voice that wants to help them. Kasane and Yuito both exclaim, calling the figure mother. What is this supposed to mean? Didn’t Kasane’s parents die from an other attack?

Does this mean that Kasane and Yuito are somehow siblings? Fans have been shipping them so hard since the beginning of the series, and to think they might be brother and sister now. Although there could be a wide fanbase for that as well.

Episode 20 Release Date

Episode 20 of the Scarlet Nexus anime has been released on Thursday, Nov 11, 2021. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

Episode 20 of Scarlet Nexus will be released as per schedule. No delay has been announced.      

Episode 19 Recap

In the episode titled “Kagero’s confession,” Kagero gets challenged to a duel by Yuito and for the confession of killing his father.

He assures Yuito that he will leave if asked to and is surprised that that’s the course of action Yuito has decided to take. Can’t blame him. If someone killed your father and then tried to act all cool while delivering the news, it would be pretty infuriating.

He even acts cool about it at first, but as Yuito corners him, he begs Yuito to spare his life. Because then all that he’s done for the past 2000 years will go to waste. Embarrassed, Kagero explains how he did everything not to kill Chairman Sumeragi and still accomplish his mission.

He wanted to fix New Himuka and correct his son Kaito and his notions about Yakumo Sumeragi’s vision. In reality, the chairman ended up dying because of an attack by an other.

Kagero couldn’t die before thwarting Togetsu’s plan. He also had a family on the moon, a wife and daughter. If history is rewound, his daughter will cease to exist, and he can’t let that happen.

As all of them make for Togetsu control computer, known as BABE, Kagero says he felt an abnormal surge in Yuito’s power when they were fighting. They think it might mean that Yuito is losing his psionic abilities because of the brain damage he sustained in Arahabaki.

Kagero helps them break into Togetsu. They fight off the Togetsu, and Luka teleports all of them to where the control computer BABE is. They experience worsening tremors due to anomalies from the Kunad Gate.

A disembodied voice speaks to them and asks them to listen. A figure then appears in hologram form. Yuito and Kasane both call out ” Mama!” at the same time.

Scarlet Nexus is an upcoming action role-playing game and anime developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The anime series adaptation will be produced by Sunrise and licensed by Funimation outside of Asia. It will premiere on July 1, 2021.
