Burers are some of the toughest enemies in STALKER 2. They are shorter than average, humanoid mutations who are out for blood. What’s deadly is their telekinesis powers and massive health bar. A common move they use is to manipulate nearby objects to inflict damage. All this just from one enemy is mind-boggling!
Burer Sightings in STALKER 2
A Burer will first make its appearance in “The Price Goes Up”. In the mission, if you head to the Dig Site instead of the shady Labyrinth, there will be someone waiting for you.
The Burer in the cavern under the shed will not spare any effort. The shed is filled with discarded guns. You can guess where this is headed. Prepare to dodge bullets raining from every possible direction.
Just like the one mentioned above, Burers are present in abandoned places like sheds, outposts, warehouses, and such.
How to Kill a Burer in STALKER 2?
Don’t be fooled by their short height. A Burer can kill you with their mind. Before we discuss how to beat a Burer, make sure you have an AR or a sniper.
Burers are all about telekinesis. They do not have any special moves or attacks hidden under their sleeves. All they can do is use objects to attack you. This is a major advantage since their moveset is limited.
Here are a few pointers to defeat a Burer:
- Target a Burer’s head. Shoot a few consecutive hits aimed right at it.
- After the first round, a Burer will shield itself completely. You can see a blue aura-like light radiating. It is pointless to attack when the Burer is in this state.
- Once the blue light disappears, keep shooting at its head. You will notice its health taking a dip.
- Throw one or two grenades every once in a while. It is even more useful right after the Burer has taken significant damage.
- Repeat the process until the Burer is eliminated.
When the Burer has taken enough damage, its body will drop down to the ground. You will emerge victorious!
