Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online introduced us to Karen Kohiruimaki, a tall and introverted university student who is seriously self-conscious about her height.
In episode 1, Pito asks LLENN to team up with her (for the Squad Jam). Though LLENN is still wary, Pito next reminds her of her promise to Team SHINC, the high-school girls she confronted in the second Squad Jam from season one.
After their match, LLENN and Team SHINC met in real life and promised to face one another again. LLENN is begrudgingly forced to join the Third Squad Jam to fulfill her promise.
Calling up Fukazirou, Karen (LLENN real-life persona) learns that the rules are the same as the previous Squad Jam but that new special rules will be announced on the day of the Squad Jam.
Though Karen is concerned about the rules, ultimately, she decides it doesn’t matter, and she can’t find out, so she might as well not fret about it. All she hopes is that she can finally settle the score with SHINC. The battle between LLENN and SHINC was epic, to say the least, and is what kept the hype alive the SAO Alt: GGO alive for all this time.
