Sarah Silverman and Seth Rogen will be teaming up to voice a Christmas-themed adult animated comedy series for HBO Max. The eight-episode series will be written by Alexandra Rushfield, who was co-EP on Parks and Recreation.
Santa Inc. follows the story of Candy Smalls (Silverman), a female elf of the highest order in the North Pole. Just as Amazon poaches the successor to Santa Claus (Rogen) on Christmas Eve, Candy tries to achieve her dream to become the first female Santa Claus.

The series will be part of Point Grey Pictures’ deal with Lionsgate, which was signed by Rogen and his partners Evan Goldberg and James Weaver last year for the production of multiplatform content.
Rushfield, Silverman, Amy Zvi, and Anomalisa’s Rosa Tran will be the executive producers while producers on the series. Josh Fagen and Loreli Alanis will oversee for Point Grey.
“I have long dreamed of a taking a beloved holiday tradition and adding a feminist agenda and some R-rated comedy, and when I read this script from Ali, with Seth and Sarah attached to voice, I knew that it was a perfect fit for us at Max,” said Suzanna Makkos, EVP Original Comedy, and Animation.
