Samurai 8 Gives Otsutsuki Clan Vibes From Warrior God Fudo Myo-o [SPOILERS]

Samurai 8 is the latest piece by Masashi Kishimoto-sensei, the progenitor of popular shounen series Naruto & Naruto Shippuden. It follows the story of a boy – Hachimaru, who has been ill and bedridden since birth but has a dream to become the greatest samurai.

Since the creator of the manga is Kishimoto himself, some comparisons with the legendary Naruto Shippuden are bound to happen every now and then. Recently, chapter 35 of the manga, titled ‘Wabi-Sabi,’ came out, and it gave some serious Otsutsuki clan vibes from the samurai warrior god – Fudo Myo-o.

Chapter 35, Wabi-Sabi, Fudo Myo-o, explained how he created the entire universe and the samurai through his own body. However, he is not a GOD, but from a different universe. It is just like Kaguya using her chakra to give shinobi their powers and Jutsu.

2. Chapter 35 – Fudo Myo-o Background

In chapter 35, Fudo Myo-o explained to Hachimaru the true meaning of Wabi-Sabi. Wabi-Sabi, according to him, is a concept of BEAUTY. Daruma also quotes from a book about Wabi-Sabi meaning the acceptance of imperfection.

Fudo Myo-o tells Hachi that when he came to the universe everything was perfect and in equilibrium. There was nothingness – weightless particles neither attracted to nor repelled from each other. It was Fudo Myo-o who added H-particles(a part of his body) to the universe, which disrupted the equilibrium.

The disrupted equilibrium resulted in various attraction and repulsion, which began with the creation of atoms all the way to stars and galaxies. Due to the H-particles, Fudo Myo-o is connected to the entire universe in existence, and it is through the H-particles only that people become samurai.

When asked by Hachi if he is a god, he simply denies it by saying that he is a being from a different universe.

3. The Otsutsuki Clan Vibes

Fudo Myo-o gave Otsutsuki clan vibes in two aspects:

• He is from a different dimension/universe, just like Kaguya Otsutsuki.
• When he came to this universe, he used his own body(H-particles) to create samurai just like Kaguya used her own chakra and gave birth to shinobi.

4. Who is Fudo Myo-o?

Fudo Myo-o is the warrior god samurai who created all the samurai in existence. He is known to have created the locker balls that digitalize the Samurai’s body and brings various other changes.

He is also revealed to be the creator of all the things in the universe and the primary fighting styles in the Samurai 8-verse. This was revealed in chapter 36 when Daruma of the Kongo Yasha style explained Hachimaru about samurai techniques.

The most powerful and difficult Kongo Yasha technique is Shooting Star Sword, which requires the stats to be infinity. Due to these impossible stats, Fudo Myo-o is the only one who can perform this. From this, we can infer that there will be such extraordinary techniques in other fighting styles as well exclusive to Fudo Myo-o only.
