Samurai 8: Hachimaruden is the latest manga by all-time favorite Masashi Kishimoto-sensei. Hachimaru is on his journey to find other key holders just like Hachi himself and to save the universe.
Chapter 34 of the manga got released today and started the next arc of the manga, and ending the evildoings of Benkei, the Key Hunter. What’s more interesting is the appearance of the warrior god, Fudo Myo-o, on the last page of the manga, which left us in a lot of suspense.
1. Chapter 35 Release Date
Chapter 35 of Samurai 8: Hachimaruden will release on January 26th, 2020. It will also feature the warrior god of samurai, Fudo Myo-o.
2. Chapter 35 Speculation
Chapter 35 will likely dive more into providing information. Due to the sudden appearance of Fudo Myo-o, we will finally get to know more about the “god” who once saved everything in existence and created the samurai as we know it. Fudo Myo-o will likely be here for a prophecy about Hachimaru, just like Jiraiya once received regarding Naruto.

Along with that, the next chapter will be showing more about Hanaichi & his pupil and why they saved that girl from dying. It might become another redemption arc like Sanda because if Sen wants to capture Hanaichi, he must be a criminal. However, there are two more theories.
One is that both Hanaichi and his student are wrongly framed, which seems to be the case since they saved a girl from dying. The second one is that they are actually evil and might become enemies of Hachimaru in the future.
In any case, we believe that his student, the key holder, will be playing a significant role in the manga, even if Hanaichi himself does not.
3. Chapter 34 ‘License Download’ Plot
Chapter 34, License Download, was somewhat different than its previous chapters. Instead of running-chasing-fighting, it focused on providing information to fans and initiating the next arc of the manga.
Chapter 34 started with Benkei getting 200 years of prison time while our heroes, including Sanda, got some “Community Service” to do. They are to assist Sen the Silent in capturing Hanaichi, the dog samurai, and his pupil, who is also a key holder.
The next few pages show an unnamed planet being destroyed by Ata for unknown reasons. The catch, however, is that Hanaichi’s pupil saves a girl from the about-to-be destroyed planet. Questions like – why he risked his life for that girl? or whether they are involved with Ata? – are currently unanswered.
This event is followed by Hachimaru entering the digital zone while trying to download Kongo-Yasha’s license from Daruma’s key. In that digital space, Daruma(digital) explains the features of a license – two of which are being able to find other key holders & being able to see your own samurai stats.
Samurai Stats: Hachi vs Daruma
Quite obviously, Hachimaru’s stats were much much lower than Daruma’s except gravity. While Daruma’s gravity is only 4000, Hachi has a gravity of 80,000, which says something. Just when Daruma was about to explain about Hachi’s gravity, a shooting star enters their digital plane. That shooting star is none other than The Warrior God, Fudo Myo-o!
