Samurai 8: Hachimaruden is the latest manga by all-time favourite Masashi Kishimoto-sensei. The story is currently following the adventures of Hachimaru as he experiences the universe for the first time and learns his lessons on being a samurai all the while finding others like himself.

Chapter 33 of the manga just got released today and brought an end to the evil-doings of Bekei the Key Hunter. To everyone’s surprise, Hachimaru’s key holder and pet, saves the day by pulling out the key, thus bringing an end to Benkei’s plan and the current arc itself.

1. Chapter 34 Release Date

Chapter 34 of Samurai 8: Hachimaruden will release on January 19th, 2020. It will also start the next arc of the Samurai 8 manga.

2. Chapter 34 Speculation

Since the current arc ended with chapter 33, there is no information on what comes next so far. However, a Reddit user pointed out that the next chapter will most likely start one of the arcs mentioned below:

1. Ryu’s origins arc
2. Yasha-sama arc
3. Daruma Gaiden/Past arc
4. Galactic Special Forces arc
5. School vs School arc

3. Chapter 33 ‘Partner’ Plot

Chapter 33, titled ‘Partner’ starts with Hayataro (Hachimaru’s key holder) pulling out the key and saving everyone from the missile attack. With Benkei now captured, Sanda faces his own reality and questions him. After Benkei transfers the promised 1billion to Sanda, he releases Benkei.

However, right after releasing him Sanda incapacitates Benkei and hands him over to the officials. While Benkei is transported to the AI court, Sanda gives 1 billion to the real winner of the battle royale, i.e., Hachimaru. This ends chapter 33 and the current arc.
