Sakugan is the latest addition to the sci-fi genre and is based on the concept of ‘curiosity killed the cat.’ Yes, that’s right! The anime is about a badass father-daughter duo who wants to explore a world beyond their knowledge.
It’s obvious how dangerous the outside world is for them, considering how most of it is left unexplored. But will that stop our protagonists from being reckless? Absolutely not. And we’re here to witness their adventures!
Sakugan decided to give fans a small gift by broadcasting the anime’s episode 1 on August 14th-15th for a limited time.
The anime will start regular broadcasting in October 2021. However, a specific release date hasn’t been revealed yet.
The episode is called ‘Fathers & Daughters’ and will be on the dAnime Store for 48-hours for everyone to watch. It will be available on various Japanese broadcasting channels too!
The anime is set in a mysterious underground world called the Labyrinth, where our protagonists, Memempuu and Gaganbar, reside. It has colonies for humans to live in, and the places outside them are marked as dangerous.
Memempuu is a curious yet clever nine-year-old girl whose father, Gaganbar, has one of the coolest jobs. But, as expected, Gaganbar also happens to have the most dangerous job: making a map of the Labyrinth they live in.
By anime rules, they have a whole crew helping them explore and chart the unknown. However, Memempuu has another motive in her mind. It is to find her mother no matter what.
Sci-fi anime are always cool to me. I mean, the mesmerizing animation, the tech stuff, and the stories are always spectacular. The same goes for Sakugan, and with the mysterious aspect involved, I can’t wait for it!

Sacks&Guns!! is an upcoming Japanese anime television series produced by Satelight. It is an adaptation of the novel Sakugan Labyrinth Marker, written by Nekotaro Inui.
It follows the journey of curious nine-year-old Memenpu and her father, Gaganba, who is not good at anything.
One day, Memempuu pleads with Gaganbar to go travel together with her to find her mother.
The area outside the colony is deemed to be dangerous and meeting a huge mysterious creature that loiters the cave, one’s chance of living cuts down to five percent.
