2. Sakamoto Days Episode 8 Recap
Episode 9 of Sakamoto Days started with the battle between Sakamoto, Shin, and Mad Horiguchi. It would turn out that right when Horiguchi punched Sakamoto, he also planted a needle in Sakamoto, with which Sakamoto became unable to distinguish between enemy and ally, so when he tried to punch Horiguchi, he ended up hitting Shin. He resolved this problem simply by making up his mind to hit Shin so that his punch would automatically be directed to Horiguchi.
The fight became crazier after Horiguchi turned this feature off, which confused Sakamoto more. Shin’s ability proved to be really useful here, though, as Sakamoto started attacking Shin, which Shin could easily dodge by reading Sakamoto’s mind. However, Horiguchi was caught in the barrage of Sakamoto’s attack when he reached out to hit Shin from the back. After their battle ended, the people from the lab had Sakamoto’s needle removed, and the two headed to find Lu. As they rushed to find Lu, a booby trap suddenly opened up and Sakamoto fell into it, leaving Shin on his own.
Meanwhile, Lu met the actual boss of the lab from within the cellar. From there, she learned about how Shin wasn’t born a psychic but got turned into one by accident in the lab. Shin still doesn’t hate his ability, and was glad to have been able to assist the boss in his research. However, as a consequence of this ability, people started distancing themselves from Shin as they felt uncomfortable with him reading their minds, which was what ultimately led him to leave the lab. The boss hadn’t spoken to Shin ever since, and he hoped to meet him again. Lu decided to pave the way for this reunion.
Elsewhere within the Okutabi Science Museum, Osaragi and Shishiba violently killed many members people, which prompted the enemy boss to show up. When Shishiba asked him whether they had something to do with the Slur, he denied it and attacked the two. Shishiba twisted the man’s face with his hammer as an act of retaliation but also figured out that he was lied to and that Slur was definitely involved with their location. After this, it was revealed that the enemy organization’s boss wasn’t actually human but a sort of robot who came with many features of extending blades from his hands and fixing his broken neck.

This battle didn’t drag on, though, as surprisingly, Sakamoto, who fell down the pit fall ended up in the same location as Shishiba and Osaragi. Here, they had a bit of a reunion, after which Shishiba left Sakamoto with the task of defeating the robot. Meanwhile, Shin had a really hard time fighting Seba, who ambushed him out of nowhere with his ability. Thankfully, he was saved in the nick of time by Heisuke who managed to see Seba because some of Shin’s blood fell on Seba’s clothes.
3. What To Expect In Episode 9 of Sakamoto Days?
Since the latest episode of Sakamoto Days featured Shishiba telling Osaragi that Sakamoto would have a really hard time with the robot boss man, we can expect Sakamoto to be in a near-death situation in the next episode. Since the battle would be getting more intense, we can expect Sakamoto to be back to his slim form again, which many fans would be dying to see at this point.
Since Heisuke has also made an appearance, and since Lu is also searching for Sakamoto and Shin, we can expect all of them to have a meet-up in the next episode. We can also hope to see the Lab’s boss having a touching reunion with Shin after several years of being apart.
