The previous episode of Sakamoto Days ended with Shin defeating the assassin Tatsu in the amusement park. 2. Sakamoto Days Episode 4 Recap
Episode 4 of Sakamoto Days started with Sakamoto questioning Tatsu about his employer. Since Tatsu wasn’t really loyal to his organization, he quickly revealed that he worked for a company named Dondenkai. After this, Tatsu decided to give up on Sakamoto and headed to the restroom, where he encountered two assassins, Boiled and Obiguro, who were rumored to have killed a hundred assassins in a single night.
Boiled told Tatsu that they had to clean his mess up and that they would definitely kill Sakamoto. It also seemed as if Boiled had a long-standing grudge against Sakamoto.
Sakamoto and his family went on several after rides after having their lunch, through which Xiaotang and Shin struggled to pull through as they were nervous wrecks considering the possibility of any surprise attacks. They did find it relatively easy to spot people who looked suspicious since the amusement park was an open space. However, this only held true until Sakamoto’s wife wanted to go to the haunted house, which was the perfect place for an assassin to sneak their attack.
On entering the haunted house, it was revealed that Xiaotang was incredibly afraid of jumpscares, and Sakamoto’s wife and daughter were quite the opposite. To counteract her nervousness, Xiaotang drank a medicine, which was later revealed to be alcohol, after she emptied the whole bottle into her mouth.
Things took an interesting turn when the drunk Xiaotang suddenly opened the door, out of which several people jumped and attacked them. Boiled, too, was one of them, and he blasted himself and Sakamoto away from the place, in order to have a solo fight with him.
Boiled also revealed an interesting backstory, according to which he was apparently friends with Sakamoto because he felt like they were similar in many ways. Their friendship came to an end the day Boiled realized the fact that Sakamoto was actually popular with girls and that Sakamoto never really saw him as a friend. After blasting him away to a different place, Boiled attacked Sakamoto relentlessly with a barrage of bombs, which clearly overwhelmed Sakamoto.
Right when Sakamoto seemed to have been defeated, boiled suddenly felt a huge amount of bloodlust. It would seem that knowing his family was somewhere at risk really triggered something in Sakamoto, as the next scene revealed Sakamoto emerging with a cloud of dust, with his clothes all baggy, and his body back to his toned self.
3. What To Expect In Episode 5 of Sakamoto Days?
Sakamoto’s sudden transformation definitely shocked most fans, as this hadn’t happened before, and it wasn’t revealed as a possibility either. We can expect to receive some form of an explanation for Sakamoto’s sudden transformation in episode 5 of Sakamoto Days. Sakamoto will very likely be way more powerful than he was before, so his fight with Boiled would end as quickly as it started.
Meanwhile, Xiaotang is now facing against Obiguo, who is also a really reputed assassin like Boiled. Although Xiaotang wasn’t revealed to be a very dependable fighter at the beginning of the series, now that she’s drunk and Shin’s life is at risk, we can expect her to be a lot more dependable. Atleast more dependable than sober Xiaotang.
