2. Sakamoto Days Episode 4 Recap
Episode 4 of Sakamoto Days started with Shin picking a bone with Xiao Lan’s ability to work. On talking to Sakamoto about this, weirdly enough, Sakamoto was a lot more talkative than usual, to the point that it creeped Shin out. This was when another Sakamoto walked into the store. After seeing a few confused faces, it was revealed that the Sakamoto who talked a lot was actually a man named Nagumo who could transform into other people.
Nagumo was apparently Sakamoto’s ex-coworker. He came to warn Sakamoto that he had a massive bounty on his head because of his recent actions. Between this discussion, an assassin disguised as a pizza delivery man came to the shop and tried to hold Nagumo hostage with a pizza cutter. The man was almost immediately defeated by Nagumo, who took him away, leaving Sakamoto with the message that he could be attacked anywhere at any point, as he had just experienced.
The next scene in episode 4 of Sakamoto Days featured Sakamoto going on a family outing in an amusement park. Shin and Xaio Lan also tagged along with them as bodyguards to ensure that Sakamoto’s day with his family could be as peaceful as possible. Their plan involved Shin reading the mind of anyone approaching Sakamoto with murderous intent, and he’d inform Sakamoto about it through a transmission device. Sakamoto subtly took care of the assassin who approached him, and Shin and Xiao Lan sneakily disposed him off.
After this, another assassin realized the trick behind Sakamoto’s smooth evasion of enemy attacks. So he entered the roller coaster ride that Sakamoto entered with no murderous intent at all, which made it impossible for Shin to detect him. Regardless, Xaio Lan did find him to be quite dangerous and warned Shin about him. On realizing that his head had been caught, the assassin quickly tried to snipe Sakamoto, but Sakamoto’s bulletproof glasses deflected the bullet.
Shin then got off his seat in the moving rollercoaster, pulled the assassin out of the ride, and had a 1v1 with him. Unfortunately, one of the daggers that the assassin threw at Shin was laced with a highly potent poison that made him go numb and blind. This wasn’t enough to stop Shin, though, as he threw the assassin down from the roller coaster to a stage where Hana’s favorite children’s show was happening. Over there, Shin wore a bunny outfit and fought the assassin with the help of the guidance Sakamoto gave him from the audience. This made up for his blindness, and Shin ultimately defeated the man.
3. What To Expect In Episode 4 of Sakamoto Days?
Assuming that the amusement park dangers end with the latest episode of Sakamoto Days, we can expect episode 4 of Sakamoto Days to introduce more assassins who’d come to get their hands on the 1 billion Yen bounty. This may become so frequent that Sakamoto would start vanquishing assassins as easily as blowing a candle out. We can also expect to see the next move of the assassin organization, of whom we got a glimpse in the latest episode.
Sakamoto did warn the group not to continue their funny business, however, like any other villain, they would only take it with a grain of salt. Considering the fact that Sakamoto’s massive bounty only came to be because of Shin and Xaio Lan, one could pin the blame for Sakamoto’s loss of a peaceful life on them. If Shin or Xaio Lan catch on to this fact, they may feel like too much of a burden, which can create a few more sparks in the anime.
