2. Sakamoto Days Episode 9 Recap
Episode 9 of Sakamoto Days started with Kashima relentlessly attacking Sakamoto. Much to everyone’s surprise, Sakamoto was still really unfazed by this new powerful enemy. This was because Shihiba previously told Osaragi that Sakamoto would likely struggle in his battle against Kashima, and we expected as much. Luckily, his words didn’t age well. Sakamoto was quite puzzled to see that Kashima would just not collapse regardless of what attack was thrown at him, which made him seem immortal.

The prospect of Kashima being immortal seemed satisfying for Sakamoto, as he wouldn’t need to worry about killing the man. It didn’t seem like Sakamoto liked the man either, as he seemed to be quite the chatterbox. This allowed him to go all out at him. So he pulled out his weapons: a pencil, some stamps, and a flier. He flung the pencil lead at one of Kashima’s eyes, blinded him, and blinded the other eye with a stamp. He then proceeded to beat the blinded man, but that still didn’t work, as he still got up to fight.
They then found themselves fighting inside a train, where we finally got to see Sakamoto in his slim form again. Sakamoto, in his slim form, was simply too much for Kashima to handle. He tried to use the passengers to attack Sakamoto, too, but alas, he got overwhelmed by Slim Sakamoto’s sheer presence and got defeated in a matter of seconds. Sakamoto then called Shin and informed him that the lab was set to self-destruct 15 minutes after Kashima’s defeat.

Parallel to Sakamoto’s fight, Heisuke was fighting Seba, who still seemed to have an ace up his sleeve. Heisuke certainly dominated the field with his impeccable skills for a moment, but it seemed anything that was covered by Seba’s jacked could be turned invisible, and he used this to his advantage to strike Heisuke. However, Seba wasn’t the only one who could pull a big-brain move. Heisuke pulled off a precisely aimed shot at the flame detector above him, which got activated and sprayed water on Seba. From there, Shin had it handled as Seba was visible due to the water on him.

Meanwhile, Lu and the Lab’s director were fleeing from the lab, which had already started to crumble in places. They met up with Shin and Heisuke, and Lu apologized to Shin for being rude to him. Shin exchanged a few words with the director, and then the whole group went to save everyone in the lab before it blew up. While evacuating everyone, Shin came across someone who was very likely Slur (we know this because Shishiba saw someone in the camera footage and called the man Slur). While in his presence, Shin sensed a bloodlust so strong that he felt his body getting ripped to shreds. The man told him to give Sakamoto his regards and fled without a trace.
3. What To Expect In Episode 10 of Sakamoto Days?
The latest episode of Sakamoto Days has brought an end to the Lab arc. With this episode, we found out that Sakamoto’s strength is still comparable to that of a member of the Order despite his retirement. We also finally got to see a glimpse of Slur, who has been mentioned several times in the previous episodes.
In the next episode, we will likely see the Order. Osaragi and Shishiba will likely report back to the JAA with their findings. Sakmaoto’s interaction with Shishiba will likely be the reason for the next conflict. Shishiba didn’t pursue Sakamoto when he first saw him, as he was on a different mission. Things would likely not be the same if Shishiba was tasked to kill Sakamoto, though.
