Sakamoto Days Chapter 70: Release Date, Discussions, and Read Online

Chapter 69 titled “Kaji”, started out with a glimpse of Mr. Sakamoto before taking us back to the battle that ensued between Shin, Kaji, and Shinaya.

Kaji is now completely sure that Shinaya is being controlled remotely and so is Shin. With that cat out of the bag, the duo formulates a new plan to take down their enemy but it falls apart almost instantly.

Against an adversary so strong and unpredictable, Shin is forced to use something so dangerous it could potentially damage him forever but that is a risk he’s willing to take.

Now that Shinaya’s secrets are out, Shin and Kaji try to implement a plan to take him down but fail miserably, forcing Shin to use the power of looking into the future.

The final panel of the last chapter does imply that it probably does not work, ultimately getting Shin killed but I have a different theory.

It is possible that the next episode opens with Shin having narrowly escaped the grasp of his assailant, lashing back with equal ferocity, and looking at that, so does Kaji and with Shin’s ability, the two make their initial plan work.

However, we could also see Sakamoto San jump into the battle and I would have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Chapter 70 of the Sakamoto Days manga has been released on Sunday, May 15, 2022. The chapter title has not been leaked yet.

4. Recap of Chapter 69

The chapter opens with a panel of Sakamoto-san in the jungle where he wonders if Shin is okay and we are immediately cut to the ongoing battle between Shin, Kaji, and Shinaya.

Kaji, with his superhuman hearing, deduces that Shinaya is somehow being controlled remotely due to the sound coming through his goggles and the fact that there seemed to be some form of lag in his movements.

The enemy takes up that moment of hesitation as he leads with a hefty punch to the ground, breaking it and making them fall down into a large and echoey underground cave.

There, Kaji reveals his observations and draws a plan where he would read Shinaya’s movements before he would make them and Shin could read it off of his mind since he is a clairvoyant.

That plan lasts exactly about half a second as Shin gets punched right in the face before Kaji could even think up the enemy’s next moves.

His current scenario reminded him of that one hidden trick up his sleeve that he could only pull out in the direst of situations because of the strain it put on his body and mind. The ability he could use for no more than five minutes before causing permanent damage to himself, his ability to look into the future.

He gets back at Shinaya with a mighty punch that Shinaya avoided rather easily but the fact that the hunted was now on the prowl excited the man controlling him, Gaku.

Shin concludes that he has no time to think about the limits and decides to look into Kaji’s future in order to predict Shinaya’s moves.

With that information on hand, he swiftly leaps up for a kick but supposedly gets countered with a lethal move by Shinaya as the final page shows Gaku crushing something that looked suspiciously like a healthy human neck and tossing it over to Kashima.
